My Adventures (live SPOT tracking!)

Hello family and friends, welcome to my live tracker page! This page will allow you to come along with me on my expeditions. This page uses live feed from my SPOT Satellite GPS Messenger. In addition to tracking my journey, the SPOT device gives peace of mind in an emergency situation, by providing a way to notify local SAR (Search and Rescue) of my last reported location.

I will emphasize that SPOT (nor any other device), does not replace skill, experience or knowledge. It is incumbent upon me to be prepared, maintain alertness and pay attention to external factors such as weather, equipment, fatigue, etc.

Since most of my expeditions are solo, this is a gift of peace of mind to my friends and family, without whose support and encouragement, I would not be the adventurous woman I am today -- I dedicate this page to you! Here's to fun adventures and safe returns. I look forward to sharing my stories with you...

How to use this page:
When I'm on an expedition, the map below will update my tracks (the foot print icons) every 10 minutes or so. On the left-hand side, under "messages", there are three different options:
  1. Track Progress:  This is a bread-crumb record of my journey and is automatically updated every 10 minutes by the SPOT system. It's helpful for those who may be planning to meet up with me or for those who simply want to follow my progress. Click on the plus sign to see more detail such as date, time and coordinates.
  2. Checking In/OK: This is a message that I send.  I will use this if I'm stopped for a while to let you know I'm not stuck under a rock or otherwise in trouble.Click on the plus sign to see more detail.
  3. Custom Message: this is a message that I send and will let you know when I make/break camp. Click on the plus sign to see more detail.
Click here to see a larger map. It may be slow to load, so please be patient!
